The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has reiterated its commitment to technology-driven transformation as it participated in high-level engagements at the SAP Sapphire 2026 Conference in Madrid, Spain.
The company’s delegation, led by the Executive Vice President, Business Services, Mrs. Sophia Mbakwe, held strategic discussions with SAP EMEA leadership, focusing on the deployment of artificial intelligence and digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency, improve governance, and support Nigeria’s production growth targets.
Mbakwe noted that NNPC’s digitalisation drive is aimed at building a more agile and future-ready enterprise capable of meeting evolving industry demands.
The engagement highlights the company’s ongoing efforts to integrate advanced technologies into its operations.
The SAP Sapphire Madrid 2026 conference, held from May 19 to 21 at IFEMA Madrid, brought together global technology executives, partners, and customers to showcase innovations in Business AI, Cloud ERP, and SAP’s upgraded Joule AI assistant.
The event featured keynote presentations, live demonstrations, customer success stories, and expert sessions focused on how artificial intelligence and data-driven solutions are reshaping modern enterprise operations.
