NNPC, Reports Rise in Oil , Gas Output in March 2026

NNPC Limited has reported an increase in crude oil, condensate and gas production for March 2026, according to its latest Monthly Report Summary.

The report showed crude oil and condensate output rose to 1.56 million barrels per day, while gas production increased to 7,731 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d), representing growth of about 3.31 percent and 3.66 percent respectively compared to February 2026. Gas production also hit its highest level in the trailing 12-month period.

The company attributed the improved performance to ongoing operational efficiencies and key project milestones achieved during the period.

Among the highlights was the early completion of the OML 118 Bonga Turnaround Maintenance, delivered 12 days ahead of schedule. The report also noted the completion of welding work on the 24-inch spur line to the Gwagwalada Independent Power Plant on the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline, while drilling activities on the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) Gas Pipeline River Niger crossing continued as planned.

Financially, NNPC Limited recorded revenue of ₦2.774 trillion, up 3.51 percent from the previous month, and profit after tax of ₦276 billion, representing a 102.94 percent increase compared to February 2026.

The report also indicated cumulative statutory payments of ₦2.888 trillion between January and March 2026, alongside continued progress on strategic upstream and midstream initiatives.

NNPC Limited said the results reflect steady operational improvements and ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency, expand gas infrastructure, and strengthen overall energy output across its portfolio.
