NNPC Limited and the Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited-operated joint venture have flagged off the B-Dere Vision First Plus (Vision First + Health-In-Motion) outreach in Ogoniland, Rivers State, aimed at improving access to quality healthcare in host communities.

The programme, held at the Model Primary Health Care Centre in B-Dere, Gokana Local Government Area, ran from May 5 to 8, 2026, and was implemented in collaboration with the Rivers State Ministry of Health and the Kolmarg Eyesight Foundation.

The four-day medical outreach attracted hundreds of residents who benefited from free healthcare services, including eye screening and surgeries, dental care, cancer screening, laboratory testing, treatment of minor and chronic ailments, distribution of reading glasses, insecticide-treated nets, as well as health promotion and education.

At the flag-off ceremony, the Head of Business Services, NUIMS at NNPC Limited, Nkechi Anaedobe, joined the Director of Medical Services at the Rivers State Ministry of Health, Vincent Nwachukwu, to present wellness packs to community members.

The initiative underscores the commitment of the joint venture partners to expanding healthcare access in host communities and strengthening collaboration with government and health-focused organisations.

NNPC Limited said the outreach reflects its broader commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable community development, particularly in improving health outcomes in oil-producing areas.
