Polaris Bank has been awarded the Private Sector Champion Award at the 2026 Jobberman Partners’ Convening held in Lagos, in recognition of its contributions to youth employment, talent development and workforce empowerment in Nigeria.
The award, presented at the event held at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, recognises private sector organisations that have demonstrated strong commitment to improving youth employability through recruitment programmes, graduate trainee schemes, skills development initiatives and strategic partnerships.
Organised by Jobberman, the annual convening brought together private sector leaders, development partners and industry stakeholders to explore practical solutions to youth unemployment and expand access to meaningful job opportunities for young Nigerians.
Speaking on the recognition, Head of Talent Management at Polaris Bank, Cynthia Sanyaolu, said the award reflects the bank’s commitment to empowering young people through structured talent development initiatives.
She noted that the bank’s approach to youth empowerment is anchored on creating platforms that support professional growth and long-term economic impact.
“This recognition reflects Polaris Bank’s unwavering belief in the potential of Nigerian youths and our commitment to building platforms that enable them thrive professionally and economically,” she said.
Themed “From Impact to Action: Collectively Designing the Future of Youth Employment in Nigeria,” the convening emphasised collaboration between the private sector and other stakeholders to strengthen workforce development and address unemployment challenges.
Jobberman praised Polaris Bank for its consistent investment in youth-focused initiatives, describing the bank as a purpose-driven institution contributing meaningfully to Nigeria’s employment ecosystem.
Over the years, the bank has implemented several talent development programmes, including the Polaris Graduate Intensive Training (PGIT) and Tech Ignite Training (TechIGNITE), aimed at equipping young Nigerians with relevant skills for the evolving job market.
The recognition further reinforces Polaris Bank’s position as a socially responsible financial institution focused on innovation, partnerships and sustainable impact across Nigeria’s economic landscape.
