NNPC Limited has announced the successful restoration of the Escravos–Lagos Pipeline System (ELPS) in Warri, Delta State, following an explosion on December 10, 2025. The company said it immediately activated emergency response protocols, deployed coordinated containment measures, and worked with multidisciplinary teams to repair, pressure-test, and safely recommission the damaged section. The pipeline is now fully operational.
The company credited the achievement to the support of host communities, guidance from regulators, vigilance of security agencies, and the dedication of its staff and partners. NNPC highlighted that operations were restored in record time while maintaining high standards of safety and environmental stewardship.
NNPC Limited reaffirmed its commitment to environmental protection, community safety, and the integrity of its assets, pledging to continue ensuring reliable energy supply for Nigeria.
