The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, will be installed as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Tribune Online gathered that Governor Seyi Makinde has approved Ladoja’s nomination, paving the way for the coronation ceremony scheduled to take place at the historic Mapo Hall in Ibadan.
A government delegation on Wednesday met with Oba Ladoja and members of the Olubadan-in-Council at his Bodija residence to finalize arrangements.
Confirming the development, Chief Adeola Oloko, media aide to Oba Ladoja, said:
“Oba Ladoja will be enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, 26 September 2025.”
Earlier on Tuesday, the monarch-designate met with the kingmakers at his private residence on Ondo Street, Old Bodija, Ibadan North Local Government Area. The closed-door session, held following the passing of the immediate past Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, lasted nearly two hours.
