Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has extended warm greetings to former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose on his 65th birthday, describing him as a courageous, committed and passionate political figure.
In a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, Sanwo-Olu praised Fayose—who governed Ekiti State twice—as a visionary and selfless leader who made significant contributions to the state’s development during his time in office.
“On behalf of my wife, Ibijoke, my family, and the government and people of Lagos State, I congratulate the former Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose, on his 65th birthday,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He described Fayose as “a courageous and experienced politician who is well respected in Ekiti and beyond,” noting that the former governor enjoys wide support across the South-West and Nigeria.
Sanwo-Olu wished Fayose good health and renewed strength as he continues to contribute to the advancement of humanity, Ekiti State and the nation.
