The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated business magnate and philanthropist Sir Kessington Adebukunola Adebutu on his 90th birthday.
In a statement released on Friday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Sanwo-Olu joined family, friends, associates, and the people of Iperu-Remo in Ogun State to celebrate the Chairman of Premier Lotto, who turns 90 today.
Sanwo-Olu, also Chairman of the South-West Governors Forum, described Sir Adebutu as a national icon and respected elder statesman, noting his enduring impact on countless lives through business, philanthropy, and community service.
“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Lagos State, I felicitate with Sir Kessington Adebutu on his 90th birthday. He has given hope to millions through his philanthropic gestures, particularly in his hometown of Iperu-Remo and across Ogun State,” Sanwo-Olu said.
The governor highlighted Sir Adebutu’s contributions as a business leader, employer, and role model, commending his influence in business, religion, sports, and community development. He also praised the nonagenarian for promoting democracy, good governance, national unity, and peace in Nigeria over several decades.
“As Sir Kessington Adebutu joins the league of nonagenarians today, I wish him a joyous 90th birthday and pray that the Almighty continues to bless him with good health and strength to serve humanity further,” the governor added.
