Tottenham Hotspur have signed Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush on an initial loan deal that includes an obligation to buy for £60 million.
The agreement is understood to consist of a £50 million initial fee and a further £10 million in potential add-ons.
Marmoush, who will wear the No. 22 shirt, joins Roberto De Zerbi’s squad after moving to Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025. Frankfurt do not have a sell-on clause in the deal, despite previous reports suggesting otherwise.
The Egypt international follows former City teammate Savio to Tottenham after the Brazilian winger completed an £85 million move to Spurs on Tuesday.
Savio made an immediate impact on Wednesday, scoring and assisting Ben Davies during Tottenham’s 5-1 Carabao Cup victory over Charlton Athletic.
De Zerbi believes Marmoush’s arrival will strengthen Tottenham’s attacking options and take the team’s offensive play to another level.
“Omar is exactly the kind of player we want at this club — ambitious, hungry and determined to make a difference,” De Zerbi said.
“He brings pace, intelligence and a real threat in front of goal, and I believe he can take our attacking play to another level.”
Marmoush expressed his excitement after completing the move and said he was attracted by Tottenham’s ambitions.
“It feels amazing to be here. I’m so excited to get started with the team and I can’t wait to meet the fans,” he said.
“Tottenham Hotspur is one of the biggest clubs in England, if not the world, and the project was very attractive to me.”
Marmoush added that his discussions with De Zerbi had strengthened his desire to join the club and that he was looking forward to working with the manager.
