Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces have increased long-range drone strikes deep inside Russian territory by 1,150 per cent since the beginning of 2026, according to the force’s commander, Robert “Madyar” Brovdi.
Brovdi disclosed the figures on July 3, saying the intensified campaign had eliminated what he described as Russia’s “safe rear” across the European part of the country.
According to him, Ukrainian drone operators carried out 2,359 deep-strike combat missions in June, targeting sites located between 500 and 2,000 kilometres inside Russia. The operations reportedly struck 172 facilities linked to Russia’s military-industrial complex and fuel and energy infrastructure.
He added that the force conducted 3,406 medium-range strike missions covering distances of 150 to 300 kilometres, hitting or destroying 1,682 targets.
On the battlefield, Ukrainian operators also executed 2,747 front-line strike missions at ranges of 25 to 150 kilometres, destroying or damaging 1,265 targets, Brovdi said.
He stated that priority targets include facilities generating revenue for Russia’s war effort, weapons manufacturing plants, logistics hubs, fuel infrastructure, strategic and tactical military assets, equipment and personnel.
The announcement follows earlier reports indicating that operators of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces struck a Russian target every 52 seconds in June and killed or wounded one Russian soldier approximately every four minutes.
The claims by Ukrainian officials could not be independently verified.
