This upgrade from the previous version 3.2 highlights the Bank’s commitment to the highest standards of data security and compliance with industry guidelines for preventing payment card fraud and unauthorized use.
The PCIDSS is the foremost information security standard for payment cards, aimed at improving controls over cardholder data and related payment systems to minimize fraud and unauthorized use.

This certification, along with other credentials such as MSECB ISO/IEC 27001:2022, ISO 22301:2019, ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018, and ISO/IEC 27001:2013, reaffirms Union Bank’s dedication to maintaining top data and cybersecurity standards and its status as one of Nigeria’s most trusted financial institutions.
