Lafarge Africa Q2 Profit Surges 248% to N84.03 Billion

Lafarge Africa Plc has reported a robust financial performance for the second quarter of 2025, with profit after tax soaring by 248% year-on-year to N84.03 billion.

The cement and building solutions company posted revenue of N268.63 billion for the quarter, representing a 70% increase from N157.80 billion in Q2 2024. Operating profit rose by 153% to N120.61 billion, up from N47.70 billion in the same period last year.

Commenting on the performance, Lafarge Africa CEO Lolu Alade-Akinyemi attributed the growth to product innovation, operational efficiency, and strategic distribution.

“Our Q2 results highlight our strong market position, effective cost management, and commitment to value creation,” Alade-Akinyemi said.

He added that the company remains optimistic about Nigeria’s construction sector and is focused on leveraging volume growth and executing its “Accelerating Green Growth” strategy to deliver sustainable building solutions.
