Fidelity Bank Plc has reinforced its commitment to education and youth empowerment with the renovation of an administrative building at Community Secondary School, Enugwuabo Ufuma, in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The one-storey block, refurbished as part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to address infrastructural challenges in schools, was formally handed over to the school community in a ceremony attended by government officials, community leaders, and stakeholders.

Dr. Nosa Orumwense, Regional Head of Fidelity Bank Plc, Awka, said the project reflects the bank’s dedication to using education as a tool for sustainable development. “For us at Fidelity Bank, this project represents more than a building. It represents opportunity, progress, and a shared commitment to building a better future for our youths,” Orumwense stated.

Representing Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Commissioner for Education Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh praised the intervention as a model of corporate social responsibility. “Fidelity Bank’s support demonstrates compassion and a genuine commitment to improving lives,” she said, adding that the school, previously on an emergency list due to unsafe structures, now benefits from a safe and conducive learning environment.

The initiative is part of Fidelity Bank’s broader CSR strategy aimed at empowering communities, strengthening educational institutions, and fostering long-term socio-economic growth across Nigeria.

Fidelity Bank, serving over 9.1 million customers through 255 branches in Nigeria and its UK subsidiary, FidBank UK Limited, has received multiple awards for innovation and service excellence, including recognition for its mobile banking app, SME support, and investment banking services.
