Lafarge Africa Unveils Upgraded Ewekoro School

The newly remodelled Christian Pelamourges Memorial Baptist Day Nursery and Primary School in Ewekoro, Ogun State, has been commissioned following a major upgrade undertaken by Lafarge Africa Plc as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The renovation project delivered new classrooms, a fully furnished computer laboratory, modern dining and toilet facilities, new furniture, a playground, and a football field, significantly enhancing the school’s infrastructure and learning environment.

With the completion of the project, more than 400 pupils are expected to benefit from improved access to safe, modern, and conducive educational facilities.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Lafarge Africa Plc, Lolu Alade-Akinyemi; Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu; Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Ademola Balogun; Independent Non-Executive Directors of Lafarge Africa Plc, Mrs. Adenike Ogunlesi, Mrs. Olusola Oworu, and Mrs. Elenda Osima-Dokubo; and the Chairman of the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Evangelist Joshua Ifede. Members of the Lafarge executive team, community representatives, and other stakeholders were also in attendance.
