Promasidor Nigeria has marked the 2026 edition of International Women’s Day by reaffirming its commitment to inclusive leadership and the empowerment of women across its value chain.

In a statement commemorating the global observance, the company joined organizations worldwide in celebrating the resilience, achievements, and transformative contributions of women under this year’s theme, “Give to Gain.”

According to Promasidor, the theme reflects a philosophy that guides its approach to leadership, growth, and impact, emphasizing the importance of empowering women within the organisation and across its distribution network. The company highlighted the role of female professionals who drive innovation within its corporate structure, as well as women distributors, retailers, and community partners who contribute to strengthening its nationwide presence.

The company noted that women play a critical role in shaping strategy, enhancing operational performance, and promoting innovation across its business operations, describing them as catalysts for transformation and sustainable growth.

Speaking on the significance of the day, the Chief Executive Officer of Promasidor Nigeria, François Gillet, stressed the importance of inclusion in driving development.

“Women are not just participants in development; they are drivers of transformation,” Gillet said. “At Promasidor, we believe sustainable growth is built on shared opportunity. Through access, mentorship, leadership pathways, and support, we build stronger institutions, resilient communities, and a more prosperous nation.”

He added that empowering women is both a social responsibility and a strategic priority that supports innovation, operational efficiency, and long-term economic progress.

Promasidor also acknowledged the significant role women play within its broader value chain, noting that mothers, caregivers, entrepreneurs, and professionals remain central to the company’s consumer base and brand loyalty.

As a major player in Nigeria’s food and beverage sector, the company continues to promote gender-inclusive leadership and talent development while supporting female entrepreneurs within its distribution network and investing in initiatives aimed at empowering women and girls.

Through its brands, including Cowbell, Loya, Miksi, Top Tea, Onga, Twisco, and Kremela, Promasidor said it remains committed to delivering value while promoting policies that encourage work-life balance, productivity, and inclusive workplace practices.

The company reaffirmed that investing in women contributes to stronger communities, thriving economies, and sustainable business growth. It also reiterated its commitment to global best practices in innovation and quality while delivering long-term value to consumers, communities, and the Nigerian economy.
