Bayern Munich clinched a record-extending 35th Bundesliga title on Sunday after a commanding 4–2 comeback win over Stuttgart, with Harry Kane scoring his 32nd goal of the season to cap a dominant campaign.
Despite falling behind to an early strike from Chris Führich, Bayern responded in emphatic fashion, scoring three goals in seven minutes through Raphael Guerreiro, Nicolas Jackson, and Alphonso Davies to seize control before halftime. Kane added the fourth early in the second half to seal the victory with four matches to spare.
The result handed Bayern the title after rivals Borussia Dortmund suffered a 2–1 defeat to Hoffenheim a day earlier, leaving the Bavarian giants with an unassailable lead at the top of the table.
Head coach Vincent Kompany rotated his squad ahead of a German Cup semi-final, resting several key players, including Kane and Manuel Neuer, but Bayern still produced a dominant performance at home.
The triumph underlines Bayern’s continued dominance in German football, securing their 13th Bundesliga title in 14 seasons and 35th overall. The club has also set a new league record with 109 goals this season, surpassing a mark that had stood since 1972.
Kane remains on course for a remarkable debut campaign in Germany, with 32 league goals and a chance to challenge Robert Lewandowski’s single-season scoring record, while teammate Michael Olise continues to chase the all-time assist record.
Elsewhere in the Bundesliga, Freiburg boosted their European hopes with a late 2–1 win over Heidenheim, while Borussia Mönchengladbach were set to face Mainz later on Sunday.
