Access Holdings Plc has appointed Abiodun Adigun as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Oxygen X Finance Company Limited, its digital lending subsidiary, as part of efforts to strengthen leadership across its businesses and drive long-term growth.
The appointment was announced in a regulatory filing to the Nigerian Exchange Limited and has received all required regulatory approvals.
According to the company, the leadership change aligns with its strategy to enhance executive capacity across subsidiaries and position them for sustainable expansion in a rapidly evolving financial services landscape.
Oxygen X serves as the digital lending arm of Access Holdings, offering technology-driven credit solutions designed to improve access to finance and support financial inclusion.
Chairman of Access Holdings Plc, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, said the appointment underscores the group’s commitment to building globally competitive financial services businesses through strong leadership and innovation.
“Abiodun brings a proven track record, deep industry expertise, and the leadership capabilities required to accelerate the next phase of growth in the business,” he said.
Aig-Imoukhuede added that the appointment would strengthen the group’s succession pipeline while positioning the subsidiary to take advantage of emerging market opportunities and enhance customer value delivery.
Adigun joins Oxygen X with more than two decades of experience in the financial services sector, spanning business development, sales leadership, customer experience, credit management, and business transformation.
Access Holdings said his extensive industry experience would support the company’s growth ambitions as competition intensifies within Nigeria’s digital lending and financial inclusion space.
He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from China Europe International Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a member of the Institute of Sales and Marketing UK.
In addition, Adigun has completed executive programmes in digital leadership and transformation at Imperial College London and Singapore Management University.
Before his appointment, he served as Country Sales Head and Chief Marketing Officer at Credit Direct Finance Company Limited, where he led expansion and market diversification initiatives.
