Dennis was a right menace for the Villa defenders – Michael Dawson

Former England and Tottenham Hotspurs defender Michael Dawson said Emmanuel Dennis was a menace to Aston Villa defenders.

Dennis was the star of the show for Watford as he scored and created another another for his strike partner Ismaila Sarr in Saturday’s Premier League game at Vicarage Road.

Sarr found Dennis down the right, his first effort was blocked by Konsa, but the Nigerian’s rebound found the net under Emi Martinez.

Dennis returned the favor minutes when he fed Sarr down the right flank, . Sarr entered the area at an angle on the right and shot low, the ball fortuitously deflecting off Mings and looping over Martinez.

Dawson who was a guest on Soccer Saturday, said Dennis was menace to Villa defence and praised his understanding with Ismaila Sarr.

“I think the scoreline flatters Villa a bit. What a start for Watford. They had a good shape, they were very solid and their counter-attacking was sensational.

“Dennis was a right menace for the Villa centre-halves; really physical, the ball stuck. Sarr causes so many problems; Watford will be desperate to keep hold of him.” He said.
