Kanye West to Perform in Prague This July

American rapper Kanye West, popularly known as Ye, is set to perform in Prague this July, according to Zuzana Rambova, director of the Chuchle Arena racecourse, the venue hosting the event.

Czech media reports indicate that the concert is being organised by HUGO Production, owned by Slovak entrepreneur Hugo Varga.

The Prague performance forms part of West’s planned European tour scheduled for June and July, marking a return to the continent’s live music scene.

However, the tour has faced challenges in some countries. The UK government has declined to grant the artist entry for scheduled appearances at the Wireless Festival in London this July.

In Marseille, local authorities have also opposed a proposed June concert, while the Netherlands has taken a different stance. Dutch Asylum and Migration Minister Bart van den Brink stated that the artist would not be barred from performing in the country, where he is expected to appear in early June.

West was previously scheduled to perform at the Rubicon rap festival in Bratislava last year, but the event was cancelled following public backlash. The controversy stemmed from the release of a song titled “Heil Hitler” on May 8, 2025, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.

Thousands of people had signed a petition opposing the planned performance by the 48-year-old rapper, who has won 24 Grammy Awards during his career.
