Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard, Founder and Chairman of the award-winning pan-African communications consultancy APO Group, has been appointed as a Council Member of the Africa No Filter Foundation, a Mauritius-incorporated non-profit organisation dedicated to reshaping Africa’s global narrative.
Africa No Filter, led by Executive Director Moky Makura, challenges stereotypical portrayals of Africa through storytelling that highlights the continent’s progress, innovation, and opportunities. The Council, acting similarly to a board of directors, oversees governance, asset management, and strategic guidance to ensure the foundation meets its objectives.
A Franco-Gabonese entrepreneur recognized among the 100 Most Influential Africans in 2023 and 2024, Pompigne-Mognard serves on multiple international advisory boards, including the Canada-Africa Chamber of Business, Africa Tech Festival, African Energy Chamber, and Africa Hotel Investment Forum, among others. He also advises the Royal African Society, EU-Africa Chamber of Commerce, and Rugby Africa.
Through APO Group, Pompigne-Mognard has built a leading communications and press release distribution service, serving over 300 clients globally, including Canon, Emirates, Nestlé, Western Union, UNDP, TikTok, Coca-Cola, NBA, NFL, and Marriott.
Commenting on his appointment, Pompigne-Mognard said:
“Africa No Filter’s mission resonates deeply with my own purpose and the work we have done at APO Group for nearly two decades. Changing how the world sees Africa starts with empowering Africans to tell their own stories of ambition, ingenuity, and possibility. I am honoured to join the Council and deepen my commitment to reshaping perceptions of Africa, driving meaningful change, and amplifying the continent’s influence on the global stage.”
His appointment highlights the shared vision of APO Group and Africa No Filter to place African stories at the centre of global discourse, foster inclusive growth, and celebrate African creativity, leadership, and innovation.
