NNPC Limited has reported a strong performance in its April 2026 Monthly Report Summary, recording growth in key production and financial indicators, while advancing major gas infrastructure projects across the country.
According to the report, crude oil and condensate production rose to 1.68 million barrels per day (mmbopd) in April, representing a 7.69 per cent increase compared to the March 2026 output. Gas production remained largely stable at 7,730 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d), slightly lower than the 7,731 mmscf/d recorded in March.
The national oil company also announced the successful completion of the OB3 River Niger Crossing project, a key milestone in Nigeria’s gas transportation network. It further disclosed that construction and installation activities on the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline mainline continued during the period, with efforts focused on achieving early gas delivery to Abuja in 2026.
On the financial front, NNPC Ltd. posted revenue of N4.971 trillion for April, reflecting a 79.23 per cent increase from the previous month. Profit after tax stood at N481 billion, representing a 74.28 per cent rise compared to March 2026.
The report also showed cumulative statutory payments of N3.714 trillion between January and April 2026.
NNPC Ltd. noted that the report highlights the company’s operational performance, financial results, and strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing production, expanding gas infrastructure, and supporting Nigeria’s energy security objectives.
