Oando Appoints Folasade Ibidapo-Obe Compliance Chief, Secretary

Oando PLC has announced the appointment of Folasade Ibidapo-Obe as its new Chief Compliance Officer and Company Secretary, effective August 8, 2025. She succeeds Ayotola Jagun.

A dual-qualified lawyer in Nigeria and Canada, Ibidapo-Obe brings nearly two decades of experience in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and company secretarial practice. She holds a Law degree from the University of Lagos, a Master’s in International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulations (with distinction) from the University of Warwick, and multiple professional certifications, including Fellowship of the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada.

Her career has spanned roles at Strachan Partners, Ocean and Oil Holdings Nigeria, Oando Energy Resources Inc., Enghouse Systems, and most recently, Magna International Inc. in Canada.

In a filing with the Nigerian Exchange Group, Oando said her appointment reaffirms the company’s commitment to the highest standards of governance, integrity, and transparency. “Her extensive experience and deep understanding of corporate governance will be invaluable as we strengthen our governance framework and uphold our commitment to ethical business practices,” the statement read.
