Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has refused to rule out a possible departure from the Turkish club amid growing interest from Arsenal.
The 27-year-old addressed speculation about his future after scoring both goals in Galatasaray’s frustrating 2-2 draw with newly promoted Corum FK at Rams Park on Friday.
Despite his brace, Osimhen took responsibility for the result and apologised to the club’s supporters after the final whistle.
Asked about reports linking him with a move to Arsenal, the Nigeria international remained diplomatic, saying his immediate focus was on his performances.
“There are always rumours during the transfer windows. I’ll focus on my job. I’m focused on my work. We’ll see and think about what comes next then,” Osimhen said.
The striker also reaffirmed his commitment to Galatasaray if he remains at the club after the transfer window closes.
“It’s going to be a tough season. The team is aware of that. I’m ready to give everything for this club. This was an important wake-up call,” he said.
Speculation over Osimhen’s future has intensified following reports that Arsenal discussed a potential move for the striker during negotiations involving Gabriel Martinelli and teenage midfielder Ethan Nwaneri.
Osimhen remains under contract with Galatasaray until June 2029.
The forward also urged his team-mates to respond quickly to the disappointing result and build momentum ahead of their Champions League campaign.
“We have to give everything on the pitch. Our fans give us incredible energy, they always support us. We need to reciprocate,” he said.
“We need to gain momentum before the Champions League. We need to fight very well from the very first match.”
