Barcelona have been active in the summer transfer window, strengthening their squad while also making significant sales to improve the club’s finances.
Karim Adeyemi and Anthony Gordon are among the club’s major attacking arrivals, while Rodri is also expected to join the squad soon.
However, Barcelona’s spending has been supported by a series of departures. The club have already generated close to €70 million in direct profits from player sales this summer, including Ferran Torres’ move.
According to SPORT, Barcelona do not plan to stop selling and are targeting more than €100 million in sales before the transfer window closes.
Torres’ transfer is expected to generate around €40 million in profit once officially completed, making him the club’s biggest contributor so far. Ansu Fati’s departure has added another €11 million.
Other sales include Óscar Torrents’ move to Ajax for €5.5 million, with Barcelona retaining 50 per cent of his rights. Jan Virgili’s transfer from Mallorca to Club Brugge also generated €4.8 million for Barcelona, representing 40 per cent of the €12 million fee.
Barcelona have also received around €3 million for Iñaki Peña, €2.5 million for Aarón Yaakobishvili and €1.5 million for Dani Rodríguez.
The club are also considering further sales involving several academy prospects, including Héctor Fort, Marc Casadó, Tommy Marques, Guille Fernández and Toni Fernández. Barcelona are expected to seek deals that could include clauses allowing them to retain some control over the players’ futures.
Casadó’s potential transfer could generate around €30 million and would significantly help Barcelona reach their €100 million sales target.
There have also been reports linking Jules Koundé with a possible departure. If the French defender is sold, the deal could provide Barcelona with another substantial financial boost.
