The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Chief Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe on his nomination as Minister of Power, describing the appointment as well-deserved and timely amid ongoing efforts to reform Nigeria’s energy sector.

In a statement signed by State Chairman Chief Moses Adeyemo Alake and State Secretary Hon. (Barr.) Fatai Adesina, the party expressed confidence in Tegbe’s ability to deliver impactful leadership, citing his track record in both the public and private sectors.

The party said his nomination comes at a critical time for the country, when urgent reforms are needed to address persistent challenges in power generation, transmission, and distribution.

“The APC in Oyo State is confident that Chief Tegbe will bring innovation, efficiency, and sustainable solutions to Nigeria’s power sector,” the statement read, adding that his experience positions him to contribute meaningfully to national development.

While pledging support for the minister-designate, the party also called for continued collaboration with stakeholders to strengthen policy implementation and sector reforms.

It further acknowledged Tegbe’s contributions to the growth of the APC in Oyo State and expressed optimism that his new role would deepen his commitment to public service.

The party wished him success in office, expressing hope that his tenure would mark significant progress in Nigeria’s quest for stable electricity supply.
