Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated Chief (Mrs.) Victoria Olaitan Abiodun, the mother of Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on the occasion of her 90th birthday.
Governor Sanwo-Olu joined dignitaries at the 90th birthday thanksgiving service held on Thursday at St. James Anglican Church, Iperu-Remo, Ogun State, where he extolled the virtues of the celebrant, describing her as “a woman worthy of celebration” for her lasting contributions to education, community development, and family life.
The governor noted that Chief (Mrs.) Abiodun’s life has been marked by faith, service, and impact, particularly in shaping the lives of her children and many others through her dedication to education and community service.
Speaking at the event, Sanwo-Olu, who also serves as Chairman of the South-West Governors’ Forum, extended warm felicitations to Governor Dapo Abiodun and other members of the Abiodun family for celebrating the matriarch’s milestone birthday.
He said, “On behalf of my wife, Ibijoke; my family; the government and the people of Lagos State, I express warm felicitations to Madam Victoria Olaitan Abiodun on her 90th birthday anniversary. We thank God for granting her the grace of longevity and for surrounding her with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.”
Describing the nonagenarian as an “educationist, businesswoman, and community leader,” Sanwo-Olu lauded her kindness, passion, and service to humanity, praying that God continues to bless her with good health and strength in her advanced years.
