Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has welcomed the declaration of his victory in the Anambra State governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), extending a hand of fellowship to the 15 other candidates who contested against him.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo described the outcome as a reflection of the collective will of the Anambra people, commending their participation and trust in his leadership.
Addressing supporters in Isuofia after the announcement, Soludo expressed gratitude to voters across the state. “This victory is a collective achievement that reflects the aspirations of our citizens. I am profoundly grateful for the support received from every corner of Anambra State,” he said.
Highlighting that his re-election marks the third time a governor has been returned to office in the state, Soludo noted that his administration received support from 98 percent of the wards. “You have not seen anything yet. With this trust, in partnership with Ndị Anambra, we will do more,” he assured.
Looking ahead, the governor affirmed his readiness to intensify development efforts. “We are turning on to gear four beginning from March 2026. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you for another four years,” he stated.
Soludo also acknowledged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for upholding democratic principles and commended INEC for conducting what he described as a free, fair, and transparent election. He further praised the security agencies for maintaining peace and order throughout the electoral process.
In a gesture of inclusiveness, Soludo reached out to his opponents, saying, “APGA is still magnanimous in victory,” and called on all stakeholders to join hands in building a better Anambra.
Reaffirming his administration’s priorities, the governor pledged to improve infrastructure, strengthen security, and expand economic opportunities across the state. “The journey begins now, and I am dedicated to ensuring that every resident of Anambra feels the positive impact of our governance,” he said.
As celebrations erupted across the state, Soludo’s conciliatory tone was widely seen as a move to foster political unity and stability, signaling a new chapter of cooperative governance in Anambra State.
