United Bank for Africa (UBA), through its corporate social responsibility arm, UBA Foundation, has donated ₦500 million to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF). The cheque was presented on Sunday at the State House, Marina, by UBA Group Chairman Tony Elumelu, accompanied by Deputy Managing Director Muyiwa Akinyemi.

Elumelu emphasized the importance of security in fostering economic growth and societal well-being. “At UBA, we believe in building safer communities that enhance the quality of life and encourage investment. This donation reflects our commitment to that shared vision,” he said.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who received the cheque, expressed gratitude to UBA for its unwavering support. “This contribution will strengthen our efforts to enhance security and protect our citizens. Together, we are building a safer Lagos for all,” the governor stated.

The donation aligns with UBA Foundation’s focus on addressing critical societal issues through impactful interventions. Over the years, the foundation has supported education, environmental sustainability, and economic empowerment initiatives across Africa.
