Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have successfully rescued Folashade Odumosu, wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.
The operation, led by Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, resulted in the safe recovery of the victim, who had been abducted last Thursday at the entrance of her residence in Arepo, Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Confirming the development in a phone interview with Channels Television on Thursday, Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, declined to disclose details regarding any ransom paid or the precise location of the rescue.
Adejobi noted that the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, commended Ogunlowo and the team of officers for their efforts. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.
Folashade Odumosu was reportedly taken by her abductors through a swampy area to an undisclosed location after being forcibly removed from her Lexus SUV. The rescue operation highlights the police’s determination to combat criminal activities and protect Nigerians.
