Rite Foods Limited, Nigeria’s leading manufacturer of beverages and snacks, has reaffirmed its commitment to youth development and social impact through a partnership with the Lifelong Impact and Welfare Foundation for the third edition of the Empower Her with JennyUK initiative.

The annual empowerment programme, themed “Unlocking the Potential of the Next Generation,” was held at Gbagada Girls Junior Secondary School in Lagos, drawing hundreds of young girls to interactive sessions on health, hygiene, self-awareness, and personal development.

Rite Foods’ participation underscores its belief that empowering young people—particularly girls—is vital to fostering a stronger and more equitable society. The company’s continued support for the Empower Her initiative reflects its goal of nurturing confidence, discipline, and ambition among Nigeria’s future leadership

Speaking at the event, Olukemi Ogunsakin,

Corporate Communications Manager at Rite Foods Limited, delivered a session titled “The Role of Self-Care in Empowering the Girl Child: Building Resilience and Shaping Her Vision for the Future.” She emphasized that self-care is not merely a personal habit but a transformative tool for empowerment.

“Beyond being a personal habit, self-care nurtures self-worth, promotes self-awareness, and inspires a generation of girls who are bold, resilient, and ready to create positive change in their communities,” Ogunsakin said.

Highlighting Rite Foods’ role in the initiative, she added, “At Rite Foods, we believe empowerment starts with access to education, the right information, and equal opportunities. When young girls recognize their value and strength, they not only shape their own futures but also drive positive change in their sphere of influence. Supporting this initiative is our way of investing in a brighter and more inclusive Nigeria.”

Since its inception in 2023, the Empower Her initiative has mentored and educated hundreds of girls, equipping them with essential knowledge and life skills to make informed decisions and live confidently.

In her remarks, Jenny Ukpai, Founder of Lifelong Impact and Welfare Foundation and Convener of Empower Her by JennyUK, emphasized the importance of empowering young girls to become confident and resilient. She lauded Rite Foods for its continued support and belief in the potential of Nigerian youths.

“This year’s partnership with Rite Foods reinforces our mission to create a more informed, inclusive, and empowered generation of young women,” Ukpai stated.

Through initiatives such as Empower Her, Rite Foods continues to demonstrate its commitment to social responsibility and community impact, advancing education, well-being, and youth empowerment under its EYEC Corporate Social Responsibility framework.
