Ecobank Launches Business Podcast for Entrepreneurs

Ecobank Nigeria has launched Scaling Up, a business-focused podcast aimed at inspiring, educating and empowering entrepreneurs, founders, business leaders and emerging innovators across Africa.

The bank said the podcast, which will be available on its official YouTube channel and other major digital streaming platforms, is designed to support businesses beyond financial services by providing practical insights from successful entrepreneurs and industry leaders.

According to Ecobank, the series features conversations on entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation, resilience and business growth, offering lessons that both aspiring and established business owners can apply in building sustainable enterprises.

The inaugural season features notable guests, including beauty entrepreneur and Beauty by AD Founder, Adeola Adeyemi (Diiadem); filmmaker and Golden Effects Pictures Founder, Kunle Afolayan; music producer and Coded Tunes Founder, ID Cabasa; fashion entrepreneur Ejiro Amos Tafiri; commercial photographer Emmanuel Oyeleke; Siriano Limited Co-founder and Lead Interior Designer, Adewunmi Adegbola; and Windsor Gallery and Nahous Creative Hub Founder, Richard Vedelago.

Each episode highlights the guests’ entrepreneurial journeys, examining the opportunities they embraced, challenges they overcame and strategies that helped them build successful businesses.

Speaking on the launch, Ecobank Nigeria’s Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Austen Osokpor, said the initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs beyond providing financial solutions.

He noted that the platform would enable business owners to learn directly from experienced founders who have successfully built sustainable enterprises while promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and economic growth across Africa.

Also speaking, Head of SMEs, Partnerships and Collaborations, Omoboye Odu, said entrepreneurs benefit from learning the experiences of those who have successfully navigated the business landscape.

She said the podcast would provide practical insights and inspiration to help founders make informed decisions, overcome business challenges and identify new growth opportunities.

Producer of the podcast, Jemimah Ugiagbe, said the project was created to offer authentic conversations that explore the realities of entrepreneurship, including setbacks, resilience, bold decisions and valuable lessons that can inspire business owners.

Ecobank said the initiative reinforces its role as a trusted partner for entrepreneurs by providing a knowledge-sharing platform that promotes enterprise development, innovation and sustainable economic growth across Africa.

The podcast is targeted at SMEs, startups, founders, business executives, creatives, students and young professionals seeking practical business insights from leading African entrepreneurs.
