Operatives of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police Special Squad have apprehended two additional suspects linked to the kidnapping of Mrs. Folashade Odumosu, wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu. The arrests follow the directive of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, to track down the remaining culprits involved in the abduction.
The suspects, identified as 27-year-old Agbojule Smart and 30-year-old Keleke Michael, were arrested in the early hours of Friday, January 24, 2025, while attempting to flee Lagos State. During interrogation, they admitted to being part of a four-man gang responsible for the crime. The other two gang members had previously been neutralized by police operatives.
Recovered from the suspects were N2.25 million, believed to be part of the ransom payment, along with two locally fabricated rifles and 11 live cartridges.
Commending the operatives for their swift and decisive action, the Inspector General of Police lauded their professionalism and urged them to maintain their high standard of crime-fighting excellence.
