President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday lauded the quality of infrastructure delivery in Lagos State, describing it as a benchmark for other states, as he inaugurated the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information Service (LAGIS) Building, and the Lagos Multi-Agency Administrative Complex.
The 5.04-kilometre Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge, first envisioned by the Tinubu administration in 2002 and delivered under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is designed to ease congestion along the Ikeja-Maryland-Ojota corridor and enhance commuter efficiency. The bridge features walkways, bicycle lanes, solar-powered street lighting, and stormwater management systems.
The LAGIS Building aims to modernize land administration through digital systems, reducing paper-based bottlenecks and improving property rights, while the Multi-Agency Administrative Complex consolidates government services into a single facility with over 7,362 square metres of office space, conference facilities, and parking for 300 vehicles.
Tinubu emphasized that these projects reflect the state’s commitment to citizen-focused development, economic growth, and sustainable infrastructure, aligning with his vision for a digitally enabled, modern Lagos.
Governor Sanwo-Olu described the projects as complementary investments that strengthen mobility, governance, and service delivery, noting their long-term impact on efficiency and quality of life for residents.
