Jaiz Bank Plc has forecasted gross earnings of N26.3 billion for the first quarter of 2025, spanning January to March. The earnings projection, disclosed in its financial forecast submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Limited on Monday, highlights robust expectations across key revenue streams.
The bank estimates that financing and investment income will contribute N24.2 billion, while profit paid to investment account holders is projected at N6.4 billion. This is expected to result in a net revenue from funds of N17.8 billion.
The forecast includes anticipated credit impairment charges of N367.6 million and exceptional items amounting to N2.1 billion, bringing net operating income to an estimated N19.5 billion. Operating expenses are expected to total N11.4 billion, leaving a profit before tax of N8.1 billion.
After accounting for a projected taxation charge of N813.9 million, Jaiz Bank anticipates a profit after tax of N7.3 billion for the period.
The bank’s liquidity outlook remains strong, with cash flow from operating activities projected at N87.6 billion. However, a net decrease in cash and cash equivalents of N14.6 billion is expected, resulting in an estimated cash/bank balance of N469.6 billion by the end of the quarter.
Further, Jaiz Bank forecasts cash flow contributions from investing activities at N48.6 billion and financing activities at N121.6 billion, reflecting continued strategic growth and investment initiatives.
The projections underscore Jaiz Bank’s steady financial trajectory and its commitment to maintaining a strong liquidity position while navigating the evolving banking landscape.
