By Ayomide Otitoju

Verdant Zeal Group Limited, a leading marketing communications conglomerate, has announced the 13th edition of its flagship Innovention Series, themed “Fintech & Inclusion: Pushing the Boundaries for Economic Growth in Nigeria.”

Scheduled to hold virtually on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the event will bring together thought leaders and industry experts to explore how fintech innovation can deepen financial inclusion and accelerate Africa’s economic transformation.

Since its inception in 2012, the Innovention Series has served as a thought-leadership platform that challenges conventional thinking and promotes conversations shaping Africa’s development agenda. This year’s edition will focus on the role of fintech and the digital economy in bridging the gap between invention and innovation, driving inclusion, and positioning Africa as a global digital powerhouse.

Renowned fintech leader and President of the Africa Fintech Network, Dr. Segun Aina, will deliver the keynote address, sharing insights on how financial technology can serve as a catalyst for sustainable growth and inclusion.

The event will also feature a Fireside Chat with Dr. Ogho Okiti, CEO of ThinkBusiness Africa, and Mrs. Aderonke Shogbola, Senior Manager, Business Intelligence & Analytics at eTranzact. Discussions will center on policy frameworks, data-driven innovation, and strategies for scaling fintech solutions.

Speaking on the upcoming series, Dr. Tunji Olugbodi, Executive Vice Chairman of Verdant Zeal Group and Convener of the Innovention Series, said the 2025 edition comes at a pivotal moment in Africa’s digital transformation journey.

“For over a decade, the Innovention Series has championed conversations that inspire collaboration and drive action. As we explore fintech and the digital economy, our goal is to foster connections among policymakers, innovators, and investors to shape an inclusive and technology-driven future for Africa,” he stated.

Dr. Olugbodi added that fintech continues to redefine financial access across the continent, emphasizing that innovation and smart regulation are key to building systems that empower individuals, support entrepreneurship, and create jobs.

The 2025 Innovention Series reaffirms Verdant Zeal’s commitment to promoting African innovation, resilience, and opportunity through conversations that drive meaningful socio-economic change.
