Polaris Bank has announced the launch of its 2025 free prostate cancer screening programme, following the success of its 2024 edition, which provided early detection services to hundreds of men across Nigeria. The initiative, organised in partnership with the Men’s Health Clinic, is themed “Men, Your Health Matters – Get Screened Today!”
The bank will sponsor free prostate cancer screening for 250 men aged 40 and above between November 24 and December 31, 2025.
Prostate cancer remains the second most common cancer among Nigerian men, with early detection offering survival rates above 98%. Building on last year’s impact, Polaris Bank will fund another round of confidential screenings, including PSA blood tests, Digital Rectal Examinations, and specialist consultations.
Polaris Bank Managing Director/CEO, Kayode Lawal, said the success of the 2024 programme reinforced the bank’s commitment to supporting men’s health. “We are delighted to sustain this tradition and remove every barrier to early detection,” he stated.
Founder and Chief Medical Director of Men’s Health Clinic, Akin Oteniya, described last year’s partnership as a benchmark for corporate health initiatives in Nigeria. He said the renewed collaboration would continue delivering expert care and saving lives through early intervention.
Participation is open to all men aged 40 and above. Both customers and non-customers may register, though participants are required to either have or open a Polaris Bank account as part of the process. Only 250 slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with results and counselling provided within 48 hours.

Polaris Bank said the programme aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), by expanding access to preventive healthcare and improving health outcomes for Nigerian men.
