Punchline Lagos, a premium live comedy experience, is set to take place at the British Council in Lagos on March 29, 2026, in what organisers describe as a landmark event aimed at redefining the city’s entertainment landscape.

The curated platform will feature a mix of established comedians, emerging talents, and cultural tastemakers, offering audiences an evening of intelligent, relatable, and high-energy performances. The event is targeted at young professionals, executives, creatives, and decision-makers, combining refined comedy with intercultural exchange and high-level social engagement.

Speaking ahead of the event, Godwin Okhawere, popularly known as GodwinJP, said Punchline Lagos seeks to elevate the live comedy experience. “Punchline Lagos is about creating a space where comedy meets culture, where audiences can laugh, connect, reflect, and experience comedy at a higher level,” he said.

He commended the British Council for supporting the initiative, noting that the venue aligns with the event’s focus on quality, cultural exchange, and global standards. According to him, the choice of location reinforces the platform’s ambition to reshape Nigeria’s live comedy scene.

The event is supported by brands including Cheetos, Spectranet, Nigeria-Britain Association, KLEO, JohnYa, Brand Mirror, Brand Colossus, Adun Suites, Kessington Lounge, Danny Prints, Zivang, 6to9, and PR Hub.

Organisers say Punchline Lagos is expected to attract comedy enthusiasts, creatives, culture advocates, and industry stakeholders, positioning it as a must-attend fixture on Lagos’ entertainment calendar.
